BUYING A NEW PARK HOME
If you are not familiar with the buying of a park home, here is a brief outline of the process.
Note that surveys, Solicitor’s fees and Stamp Duty are not required when purchasing a park home.
Gold Shield Warranty
We can assist you with the purchase of your new park home and and can assist you throughout the purchase process. From choosing your new home to the day it is sited on your chosen park, we will be available to make sure everything is arranged to ensure a trouble free purchase. All our parks cater for semi-retired over 55 years old.
Gold Shield 10 Year Warranty Scheme
As a registered Gold Shield Park owner, RS Hill & Sons Ltd can provide total peace of mind to all new park homeowners.
The National Park Homes Council (NPHC) is the representative trade body for the UK park homes industry and administers the 10 Year Gold Shield Warranty which is a free structural warranty available only to registered park owners.
What does Gold Shield cover?
Year 1 – whole structure and every part, component, fixture and fitting
Year 2 – as for Year 1, excluding certain faults or defects in electrical, gas, central heating controls and systems, soft furnishings, floor coverings and internal decorations.
Years 3 – 10 – any major defect in the load bearing structure of the park home.

Platinum Seal Warranty
The Platinum Seal is the only insured Manufacturer’s Warranty for the park home industry, underwritten by Assist Insurance Company Ltd.
The Platinum Seal Warranty is only available from selected Platinum Seal ‘Approved’ Manufacturers and provides owners of new park homes total peace of mind in the quality and durability of their home.
All homes covered by Platinum Seal are insured for a wide range of structural defects that could occur during the first 10 years after manufacture.
Park Home Manufacturers
We have established excellent relationships with some of the leading park home manufacturers and can comfortably recommend each of these companies who are respected within the industry.
Each manufacturer provides a range of quality homes of differing designs, styles and layouts to suit your taste and budget. Alternatively you may wish to design your own home and utilise the services of their designers to specify a bespoke home totally unique to you.

BUYING A PARK HOME ‘PLOT’
Buying a plot and purchasing a park home on our parks is the perfect way to creating an affordable and comfortable lifestyle.
You have seen that we advertise plots for sale… these are not plots that you might choose to build a house on, but are really pitches where your new park home is to be sited.
Each plot is fully serviced with gas, electricity, water and sewerage (you are invoiced directly from these supply companies). You will be charged a monthly pitch fee, which varies from park to park which covers management fees, ground rent and maintenance/improvements to the park.
Find your ideal park
Decide where you want to live and see what homes we have for sale which will be listed on the Homes for Sale pages of this website.
Choose your home
New homes may already be sited, but if you are buying a plot, this will be ordered from one of the manufacturers we deal with.
Adding extras
If a new home is ordered, you may be able to get involved in the specification process and make choices that will suit you and and special requirements.
Move in
Once your home is delivered, we will have it sited and connected to all services. Any skirting, brickwork and driveways will be completed ready for you to move in.
